Military Health System

Nursing in the Military Health System

Since the American Revolution, nurses have provided unique contributions to military medicine during peace time and conflict. We provide world-class nursing care for patients while staying ready to deliver deployed medical care anywhere in the world when called on. Now and throughout history, nurses across the Military Health System serve in leading roles to maintain military health and readiness and affect transformative changes in military medicine.

At its core, MHS nurses are an integrated team helping to accomplish the MHS readiness mission.
