Over the past year, our nation’s military community, including service members, retirees, and family members, fought a new kind of fight against the COVID-19 threat— one that increasingly became a force health protection threat in the areas where they live and work.
Now, it’s time for what’s next. We’re moving forward, and ready to embrace a different normal. The Department of Defense (DOD) is now distributing vaccines to combat COVID-19, which will mitigate risk to military operations and activities. It will also help reduce the impact of COVID-19 on high-risk populations.
The DOD is following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) guidelines for COVID-19 vaccine distribution. To learn more about the DOD's distribution plan, including the populations included in each phase and tier, visit: www.defense.gov/Explore/Spotlight/Coronavirus/Vaccine-Availability/.
The Defense Health Agency (DHA) developed this digital toolkit to help you communicate with beneficiaries about the COVID-19 vaccine. The assorted print, digital, and social media graphics should be used locally to generate awareness among populations.
