About National Nurses Week, May 6-12
The roles nurses play go beyond serving in a hospital and clinic, where they often connect patients and other medical personnel. They can also be found in research labs, in classrooms, and evaluating informatics and performing analysis. Each area of expertise contributes to advancing the mission and impact of the MHS enterprise.
Nurses are contributing to Department of Defense efforts as part of the national COVID-19 pandemic response. Protecting service members, their families and the MHS workforce is the DoD’s top priority that nurses are delivering on while caring for patients as a final line of defense against COVID-19.
